Billing & plans
One plan, everything included, priced per location, at a single flat price — $44 a month. Every feature is included, every location bills the same way, and they all renew on the same day and the same card.
The plan
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Plan tiers | None — every feature is in the one plan. Nothing to compare. |
| Price | $44 a month, flat, per location. |
| Billing | Each location has its own subscription. All are charged to the same card on the same day. |
If turnda has arranged something for you — a free or discounted period, for example while you're helping us test something — it is arranged with the card payment service, not switched on inside the app.
It isn't a plan you pick or a box you can tick.
The free trial
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Length | 30 days, free, with your card on file. |
| When you're charged | Not until day 30 — “You won't be charged until {date}”. The trial card shows the days left and what each location will cost on that day. |
| Cancelling before day 30 | You're never charged. |
| One trial per account | Every location you add during the trial is covered by the same 30-day clock, and they all convert together at the end. |
Starting to pay
The button on a location's billing card changes its label depending on where that location is.
| Button | What happens |
|---|---|
| Confirm plan | Shown on each location while your free trial is running. Puts that branch on the plan. Nothing is charged that day — the branch joins the trial already running and converts with the rest at the end of it. |
| Start 30-day free trial | Shown before your account has used its one free trial. Starts the 30 free days with your card on file. Nothing is charged that day. |
| Subscribe | Shown once your account's one free trial is used up. Charges that location's $44 straight away, because the free trial is per account, not per location. The everyday case is a branch you open months later — the trial is long gone, so that branch starts paying the day you subscribe it. |
| Add a card to continue | Sits on the free-trial card at the top of the page, only while nothing on the account is subscribed yet. Runs the card step for your first location, so the trial converts to a paid subscription on day 30 instead of stopping. It doesn't charge you anything early. |
- Each location has its own button — subscribing one doesn't touch the others.
- Read the button before you press it. Only the one that says “Subscribe” takes money that day.
Adding a location part-way through the month
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Renewal day and card | Every location on the account renews on the same day, charged to the same card. |
| Adding a branch part-way through a period | It joins that renewal date and is charged a full month's $44 that day — not a part-month amount. We don't prorate. |
| So the first stretch | Shorter than a full month, at the same price. |
You are told this before you commit, and the choice is yours — add it now and pay the full amount for a short first stretch, or add it on the renewal date instead and get a whole month for the same money.
The screen shows your own renewal date and the exact amount before you confirm — nothing is estimated.
Card, invoices & changes
Your card and receipts live in the secure Billing portal (it opens once a location is subscribed) — turnda never handles your card details directly.
- The confirmation box says how many branches it covers and lists every one by name. Read that list before you press it.
- All of them keep running to the end of the paid month, with no refund, and then stop taking visitors.
- Cancelling during the trial means you're never charged.
- The same box has a short optional “why are you leaving?” question, which you can leave blank.
To stop paying for one branch and keep the others, delete that branch instead — there is no way to cancel a single location from Billing.
Deleting a location stops that branch's renewal and leaves the others charging as normal. The month already paid for is not refunded, and that branch keeps serving until the month runs out even though it has gone from your screens.
Changed your mind after cancelling? As long as the paid month hasn't run out yet, a Keep them running button appears in its place.
- One tap undoes the cancellation, and the location goes on renewing as normal. Nothing is re-charged early — it simply stops the countdown to stopping.
- Because the cancel covered every branch, this brings every one of them back in a single tap.
- It only works before the account itself is closed. If you've closed the whole account, see closing your account for how to undo that instead.
Adding another location
| When you add it | What happens |
|---|---|
| While your free trial is running | It joins the trial you already have — there is one free trial per account, not one per location. Nothing to pay today; it converts with your other locations on the day your trial ends. |
| After your free trial has ended | There is no new trial. You pay the full $44 that day — we don't prorate — and it then renews with your other locations on their renewal date. Or choose to wait and add it on that date instead, and get a full month for the same $44. |
What each location's status means
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Subscribed and running. |
| In trial | Live on the free trial; converts on day 30. |
| Ending | You've cancelled it. It keeps working to the end of the paid month, then stops. Shown the moment after you cancel. |
| Past due | A charge failed. Everything keeps running for a 72-hour grace period from the first failed charge, with an amber “payment needs attention” banner while you fix the card. |
| Paused | The grace ran out — new visitors can't join (people already waiting are still served and drain normally), with a red banner until the card is updated. Nothing is ever silently deleted. |
| Closed | The subscription ended; resubscribe to reopen the line. |
| Not set up / No charge | There is no card on this branch yet, so nothing is being charged and it isn't taking visitors either. |
A disputed payment (chargeback)
This is different from a card that simply failed. A dispute (also called a chargeback) is your bank pulling a payment back after the fact.
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Effect | That location stops taking new visitors immediately, with no 72-hour grace at all. |
| The banner | “A payment has been disputed — new visitors can't join. Your card isn't the problem.” |
| Is there a fix-payment button? | No — a new or updated card cannot undo a dispute. |
| How it's resolved | You (or your bank) settle the dispute directly with the bank and the cardholder. The location starts taking visitors again the moment it's decided in your favour. |
| Who sees it | Staff see a softer version that doesn't ask them to do anything — only the owner can act on it. |
How your billing page knows all this without you refreshing: the moment your bank confirms a payment, a card fails, or a dispute is raised, your payment provider tells turnda automatically and securely.
That's why “Past due”, and a dispute, appear within moments without you doing anything, and why an email goes out at the same time.
“Paused” is the one that waits — after a failed card it appears when the 72-hour grace runs out, not straight away.
What we email you about money
These go to the owner's sign-in address, and they arrive in whichever of the six languages that owner uses — not always English. They are short and plain — what happened, which branch, and the one link that fixes it.
Where else they also go
| Also sent to | |
|---|---|
| Trial-ending warning, and anything about closing the account | Also your backup address, if you've set one. |
| Failed-payment and disputed-payment emails | Sign-in address only. |
The four money emails
| Subject line | What it says |
|---|---|
| “Your trial ends soon” | Sent before the trial's last day — the only warning before a first charge. Names the date, says the card on file will be charged then, and says plainly that nothing has been charged before that day. If more than one branch is subscribed, it says how many. |
| “Your payment didn't go through” | Sent as soon as a charge fails. Names the branch and links you straight to the billing page to update the card. Starts the grace period above — act on it and nothing is interrupted. |
| “Your payment was disputed” | Sent if a bank reverses a charge. No grace period — that branch stops taking new visitors immediately. Your card is fine; it is the bank you need to settle it with. |
| “[Branch name] isn't taking visitors” | Sent the moment that branch's 72-hour grace period above runs out with the card still unfixed. Reassuring on purpose — nothing has been deleted, your visitors, bookings, team and settings are all still there, and adding a card puts everything back exactly as it was. |
