Set up a simple counter or takeaway

Quick answer. Add one line, leave it ONE STOP, add a station for your counter, set hours, and start the trial. That's it — people scan your QR, join, and you call them from any phone. About 5 minutes.

The plan

A counter is the simplest shape turnda has — a single walk-in line with one serving point. You need a location to start.

  • You don't need services or a booking window — those are only for appointments.
  • You don't need a journey — that's for multi-stop visits.

Four steps, about 5 minutes.

1. One line, one stop

  1. On Locations, add your first line and name it what people see. For example “Order counter” or “Front desk”.
  2. Leave the flow as one stop — that's a normal walk-in queue. The default serving order is Keep it fair — with no bookings on a counter line, that plays out as plain first come, first served, so there's nothing to change.

2. Add the counter

  1. Open the line's Line settings → Setup and add one station for your counter. For example “Counter 1”.
  2. Whoever's on shift can sign in at it with their PIN. It's optional, but it shows who's at the counter and tags their serves. Running it solo? One station is all you need.

3. Hours

Set your open hours in Line settings → Open hours so the line closes and reopens on its own — or leave it always-open if you never want it to close automatically.

4. Go live & get found

  1. Start the 30-day free trial (card upfront) from the setup-status card to open the line.
  2. Use the line's Share / Get found button to print the QR poster people scan to join, or copy the join link for your website.
  3. Add one test join and call it through — you're live.
