The grace window

No-show grace (minutes) is how long a called visitor's place is held before they're marked absent — it's per line, and never zero.

How long, and what happens then

How longWhat happens then
10 minutes (the default) The visitor is marked a no-show and loses their place.
Never 0 The field can't be set to zero — every called visitor gets at least a short grace.
Your choice Set it to match your patience — a busy counter might use a short grace, a clinic a longer one.
The no-show grace window, and the honour-late alternative Default — no-show grace Called Spot held · grace window (default 10 min) Marked no-show …if they haven't arrived Honour late arrivals (on) Booking slot Late booking keeps its priority — held up to ~12h (grace field is off)
A called visitor's spot is held for the grace window, then they're marked a no-show. With Honour late arrivals on, a late booking keeps its priority instead (up to ~12h) and the grace field is disabled — the two are mutually exclusive.

Honour late arrivals

Honour late arrivals ON Honour late arrivals OFF
A booking that checks in after its slot Keeps its appointment priority instead of dropping to the back — held for up to about 12 hours Re-enters as a walk-inSomeone who joins the line on the spot (QR, link, or kiosk) without a booking. with a fresh clock — waits from the moment they arrive, like anyone else
The grace field Disabled — this setting is doing the holding Active, and sets the timing
This setting is per line, in Line settings → Bookings & appointments.

No-shows apply to walk-ins too

A called walk-in who doesn't appear is also cleared automatically — but by its own separate setting below, not the booking grace above.

SettingWhat it does
Auto-clear a called guest after Default 30 minutes (5–240, or blank for off). If staff call someone but never resolve them, this auto-marks that stuck "now serving" guest a no-show, so it doesn't sit on the board forever.
Staff latitude Your call on whether a re-queued no-show goes to the back or keeps their spot — see Staff latitude.

No-show numbers can stay on the TV so the desk can call them back.

Spotting likely no-shows

The Bookings page also helps you get ahead of no-shows — a Higher no-show risk badge appears on bookings that look risky, based on this line's own history (lead time, past no-shows).

It's a smart estimate, so it only shows once the line has enough booking history behind it — around 20 finished bookings.

No-show grace greyed out? Honour late arrivals is on — it overrides the grace window. Turn it off if you want the timed grace instead.
