Stations (serving points)
A stationA spot where one staff member serves one visitor — a chair, desk, room or counter. is a serving point — a counter, chair or room — that a staff member can sign into. Signing into a station is optional — you can call and serve guests without one at all. A single-counter shop needs no stations.
Stations are for showing who's where, not a requirement to serve. Serving works exactly the same with nobody signed into anything.
What a station is
Think of one station per place a visitor is actually served — two chairs is two stations, one returns desk is one.

| Do stations make a line ready to open? | No. That only needs the location's name and time zone and at least one line (an appointment line also needs a service). |
| When should I add stations? | When you want the “who's at each counter” roster and per-person stats. |
| Can a single-counter shop skip them? | Yes — skip them entirely and just call and serve. |
Add & assign
- Open the line's Line settings, then its Setup section, for the Stations row. “where staff sign in to serve”
- Add a station (e.g. "Counter 2").
- Pick a teammate from Assigned staff, or leave it No one assigned. Whoever's on shift signs in with their PIN.
Removing a station Unassigns anyone who was on it.
Open, close & busy
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Open | Free and ready for someone to sign in. |
| Serving | Someone's been called to this counter, is parked there, or is mid-visit — any of the three, not only mid-visit. |
| Closed | Taken out of rotation, without deleting it — handy for a lunch cover. Use Close / Reopen. |
Can't remove a station? You can't remove a station showing Serving — bring the guest back, or finish with them, first.
Station has served people before? turnda keeps refusing to remove it, to protect that history. Close it instead — it stops being offered, and the record stays.
People waiting but nobody's called? Check a station is open and signed into — an unstaffed station shows up as a "needs attention" alert on your dashboard.
