There's no password to remember, anywhere in turnda. Owners and managers sign in with a link sent to their email — or with Google. Managers and staff can instead sign in with a username and a PIN they chose themselves, from any phone, tablet or computer.
Why no password? A link to your inbox is harder to lose and harder to phish than a password — and it means one less thing for your team to forget on a busy morning.
Owners & managers
- Enter your work email and tap Email me a sign-in link. The page switches to "Check your email" — "We sent a sign-in link to {your address}. Open it on this device."
- Open the link on the same device. You land straight in your dashboard — there's no password step.
- Typed the wrong address? Tap Use a different email and send again.
| Also on that page | What happens |
|---|---|
| Continue with Google | Signs you in with the Google account you pick — same result as the email link, no link to wait for. |
| Manager or staff? Sign in with your username | Opens the other door, for staff and managers signing in by username and PIN. |
| Locked out? Recover your account | Opens account recovery. |
| Terms of Service | In the footer. |
| Privacy Policy | In the footer. |
Email not recognised?
| What happens | Why |
|---|---|
| The link still arrives. | Sign-in never reveals whether an address has an account. |
| It opens into Create your business, not a dashboard. | That email isn't part of a business yet. |
| You expected an existing account but landed in setup instead. | You probably signed in with a different address than the one you were invited on — check which inbox got the team invite. |
Managers & staff: username and PIN
- Tap Manager or staff? Sign in with your username to get the other door.
- Type your username — the one your manager gave you, like luxe_grace — then your PIN. You do not pick your name from a list.
- This works from any device — the shared tablet at the counter, your own phone, a laptop at the back.
- You cannot invent a PIN out of nowhere — you need the one-time code your manager gave you. It looks like K7QF-3MTX and works once.
- The screen asks for your username, that code, and a PIN of your own, typed twice.
Typed a PIN before you've set one up? turnda does not tell you your details are wrong — it moves you to the code step instead.
| What the screen says | When |
|---|---|
| You haven't set a PIN yet. Enter the code you were given and choose one now. | You type a PIN before you have set one up. |
Forgotten your PIN? Ask your manager for a new code. Full details on the PIN sign-in & stations page.
Handing a shared tablet to the next person? Use Switch user rather than signing out and in — the person who was signed in stays signed in until the new sign-in actually works, so a counter is never left with nobody on it.
| What the screen says | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| {name} is signed in on this device. Signing in will sign them out here — but not on their own phone. | Without Switch user, everything the next person does is recorded under the last person's name, and that person's private chats are on the screen in front of them. |
Where you land afterwards
- You come back to the page you were trying to reach. Open a link to a booking, a report or your queue while signed out, sign in, and that is where you land — not a generic home screen.
- Already signed in? The sign-in page does not make you do it again — it takes you straight through. The one exception is an email that has no business attached to it yet, which goes to Create your business.
Staying signed in
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| You stay signed in on that device. | No daily re-login. |
| "Your session has expired — please sign in again." | Sessions do eventually expire for safety. Nothing is lost — send yourself a fresh link and carry on. |
| Sign out (in the account menu) | Ends the session on that device whenever you choose. |
Locked out
Lost access to your sign-in email? Use Locked out? Recover your account and enter your organisation codeThe short code for your business (up to 4 letters). It appears in your join links and posters, and you need it to recover access. with one of your recovery codesOne-time codes shown once when you create your account. They're the only way back in if you lose access to your sign-in email.. Full steps on the Recover your account page.
Link didn't arrive? Check spam, confirm the address is right, and request it again — the newest link is the one that works. Each link is single-use and time-limited.
