Manager permissions
Managers can do everything at the locations they run — but you decide how far that goes.
This owner-only page lets you switch off anything you'd rather keep to yourself.
What this controls
Nine capabilities — message channels, team, branding, renaming a location, deleting a line, journey mode, TV boards & displays, the activity log, and analytics.
| Rule | What it means |
|---|---|
| Deleting a line | Included — a manager can delete a line at a location they manage. Creating a line, and creating or deleting a whole location, always stays owner-only. |
| Priority tiers | Not one of the nine — that page (now called Queue defaults) is owner-only, full stop, with no switch here to grant it. |
| How a switch is enforced | Checked by the server — a manager who tries a switched-off action is politely refused, not just missing a button. |
| Owners | Never restricted by any of these switches. |

What a manager may do

Messaging & channels · Toggle Turn a location's WhatsApp/email on or off. Switching which moments send and editing wording stays account-wide (owners). On Line
Manage the team · Toggle Assign, remove and manage team members within their locations, reset their sign-in PINs, and invite new staff into their own locations. Inviting a manager stays owner-only. On Staff
Edit visitor-page branding · Toggle Change the welcome message, colours and design of the visitor pages. On Join pageTracker
Rename lines & locations · Toggle Rename their own lines and locations. Creating a line, and creating or deleting a whole location, stays owner-only. On Line
Delete lines · Toggle Delete a line at a location they manage (once it has no one waiting). Creating a line, and creating or deleting a whole location, stays owner-only. On Line
Switch a line to journey mode · Toggle Turn a line into a multi-stage journey flow. The journey itself is still authored by the owner. On Line
TV boards & screens · Toggle Create and edit TV board layouts, and pair or manage screens. On Lobby TV
See the activity log · Toggle View who changed what at their locations. On Staff
See analytics & reports · Toggle View the analytics dashboard and the named reports. On Staff
Owner & Manager can change all of these. Every row names the Line settings tab the control is on — open Locations → your line → Line settings and pick that tab. Defaults and ranges are checked against the running product on every build.
Always theirs
- The routine day-to-day of running a line — hours, thresholds, ratings, board display — is always a manager's to change, and isn't listed here. This page is only for the account-shaping powers you might want to reserve.
- Some, like editing message wording, are account-wide and stay with owners regardless.
A manager says something's blocked? They'll see "The account owner has turned this off for managers." Flip the matching switch here to give it back — the change applies straight away.
