The dashboard

Your Dashboard is the room at a glance.

Owner, Manager & Location-manager Where: Dashboard 7 min read
Live load right now, today's performance across every location, and a short list of anything that needs you. It refreshes itself about every 30 seconds — you never press reload.
Not everyone gets a dashboard. Staff go straight to the Queue when they sign in — the dashboard is a manager's overview, and there is nothing on it a person at the counter needs.

Who lands here — and what you see if you don't

Signing in takes each person to the screen their job starts on, so different people see different things and nothing is broken.

WhoWhat they see
Owner, first time Before your first line exists, you're taken into the guided setup instead. Once one line exists (or you skip the guide), the dashboard is your home screen from then on.
Owner or manager with locations This dashboard.
A manager not yet given a location A calm page, not an error — "You're not assigned to a location yet", explaining that the owner or another manager has to place them at a branch first. Nothing is wrong with their account.
Staff The Queue, every time.
  • A manager sees only their own branches everywhere on this page — every counter, row and alert below is scoped to the places they run. An owner sees the whole business.
  • Brand-new account, no location at all? The page says "Set up your first line to see your dashboard" with one button, Go to Locations. There are deliberately no zeros to read — an empty dashboard would only tell you what you already know.

Live now — the teal band

The big number is how many people are waiting now across everywhere you can see. Beside it, four counters.

CounterWhat it means
Locations open How many branches could serve somebody this second, out of all of them. "Open" means two things at once: the branch is live (its trial or subscription admits visitors) and at least one line there isn't paused. A branch with no counters set up still counts as open — a single-counter shop serves perfectly well without them.
Counters staffed Counters with somebody signed in, out of counters set up.
Longest wait The longest anyone has been waiting right now.
Staff active now How many of your team are signed in and active.

The little pill at the top of the page says the same thing in words.

The pill says……which means
"Live now · on" At least one branch can serve.
"Not serving yet" You are paying but every branch is paused. Fix: start the trial or unpause a line, on the Locations page.
"Not live yet" No branch has started a trial or subscription — or a trial has run out and the branch has lapsed. A lapsed branch is a Billing fix — add a card to reopen it.

Under the counters, one row per branch with a bar and a word. The word is what to read; the colour only repeats it.

WordWhat it means
Fully staffed Every counter here has somebody on it.
Short-staffed Some counters are covered, some aren't.
Nobody on Counters exist and nobody is signed in to any of them.
No counters to staff This branch serves without per-counter calling. Not a warning.
Closed Every line here is paused, so nobody can join.
Not live yet This branch hasn't been opened for visitors yet.
"Fully staffed" and nobody there? This counts who is signed in at a counter, not who is in the building. Ask the team to sign in at their counter when they start and out when they leave — see Presence & counters.

Today

Three cards, all counting since each shop opened, in that shop's own time — so a branch in another country isn't measured against your clock.

CardWhat it shows
Served today Visits finished today, with a small chart of the last 30 days and a pill comparing you with the same day last week — "up 12% vs last week", "down 8% vs last week", or "No change" when it is exactly level. A flat week is stated plainly rather than dressed up as a green arrow.
Walk-in vs booked A ring of today's arrivals. Read the middle — it says "Arrived today", not served. This counts everyone who joined today whatever happened next, so on a quiet morning it can read 1 while Served today next to it still reads 0. Both are right. Underneath, today's bookings and how many are still upcoming.
Satisfaction The average star rating from today's visits, like the other two cards on this row. When nobody has rated yet today the ring is empty and the middle shows a dash — never a zero, which would read as "everybody hated it" — even on a shop with a great rating for the month.

Needs attention

This card is about today's trading, and it lists only things that are stopping people being served. It can raise five things.

What it saysWhat it meansWhat to do
"{branch} isn't live yet" Nobody can join this branch's lines until you open it. Your join links and QR posters are ready and waiting. The button starts the free trial.
"{branch} isn't open to anyone" Every line there is paused or removed, so nobody can join."Open a line" takes you to the Locations hub.
"{branch} — payment past due" That branch goes read-only until it's paid; other branches carry on as normal.Pay to reopen it.
"{branch} · {area} — {counter} unstaffed" Nobody is signed in at that counter and people are waiting."Reassign" fixes it.
"{name} is being seen by nobody" The rarest and the most urgent. The person who was serving that visitor was removed from the team mid-visit, so the visitor is sitting there attached to nobody. A walk-in who gave no name shows as "Someone" rather than a blank gap."Open queue" and finish or hold them.

When there is nothing, it says "All clear" — and that is a real all-clear, not an empty list.

The card is checked against the same facts the coverage rows above use, so it can never say all clear while a branch above it reads "Closed" or "Not live yet".

What it does NOT watch. This is not a setup checklist. It will not tell you a line has no opening hours, no services or no message wording — that lives on the Locations hub with the rest of setup.
What "All clear" means Nothing is blocking service right now — not "everything is configured".

A manager who can't fix an item is told so instead of being sent into a wall.

SituationWhat the manager sees
A payment problem "Ask the owner to update payment" with no button, because billing is the owner's.
A staffing alert, signed-in person isn't an owner or manager "Ask the owner to reassign someone" — reassigning is a role thing, not a switch the owner can flip on or off for a particular manager.
A stranded visitor The one exception — everyone gets the "Open queue" button for this, because finishing a guest is an ordinary counter action anybody can do.

On the floor now, and Smart insights

"On the floor now" shows who is signed in at which counter this minute, refreshing about every 20 seconds — a summary line ("3 on a station · 2 with a guest · 1 free").

Then a tile per person with their counter, whether they are Serving or Free, and how long they've been on.

  • Empty it reads "Nobody is signed in to a station right now."
  • If this one card can't load it shows its own retry and the rest of the dashboard carries on — it never takes the page down with it.

Below it, Smart insights turns your own history into plain sentences — "Tuesdays tend to run about 30% slower than your usual — worth extra cover."

  • There's no external service involved — it is statistics from this account's own visits, and it stays silent rather than guess.
  • The card simply isn't there until there is enough history — roughly 30 served visits across everywhere you can see (all your branches, if you're an owner) in the last 8 weeks.
  • Even then it only shows for a weekday that stands out clearly from the rest.
"Why don't I see Smart insights yet?" A new venue hasn't served enough visits — that's normal, not broken. Keep serving; the insights (and the smarter wait estimates on your queue and trackers) switch on by themselves.
