Close your account

Closing an account is deliberately gentle — it stops new joins immediately, lets visits in progress finish, offers you an export, and stays reversible for 7 days. After those 7 days your data is permanently deleted, so take the export before you close. Owner-only.

Nothing vanishes instantly. Closing starts a grace period, not an immediate wipe — so an accidental or premature close is recoverable.

What closing does

Closing it

  1. From Settings, choose Close account. It's in the “Danger zone” group.
  2. Type CLOSE to confirm. This enables the Close my account button.
  3. Press Close my account. You'll get a confirmation that closure is scheduled.
What this does to your money Every queue stops taking new visitors the moment you press it — people already waiting are still served. Your renewal is switched off at the same moment, so you are not charged again. The month you've already paid for is not refunded.

The part that surprises people: the subscription itself ends on the deletion date (the end of the 7-day window), not at the end of the month you paid for.

If you only want to stop the next charge and keep serving until your paid month runs out, don't close the account — cancel from Billing instead.

Cancelling from Billing is different. The Cancel button there stops the renewal on every branch on the account, not one. If you only want to stop one branch, delete that branch and leave the others alone.

Closing is the fast path; lapsing is the slow one.

If you never add a card

There is a third way an account ends, and it is the most common one of all — you sign up, have a look around, and never reach the card step.

You did not close it and you never started paying, so neither of the windows above applies.

What happens if a branch never gets a card.
The deletion date is counted from the day you signed up, not from the day it paused. The data is kept 90 days from signup — the same 90 days our terms and privacy policy promise — not 30 days and then another 90 on top. A branch with a card on it is never treated as abandoned.

The emails you will get

You are never deleted quietly. Every step sends the owner an email, in their own language, and each one tells you how to stop it.

If you close the account

“Account deletion scheduled.” Sent the moment you close. Names the date, says your queues have stopped taking new visitors while anyone already waiting is still served, and reminds you that you can undo it at any time from the banner at the top of any page.
“Your account is deleted tomorrow.” A last reminder, sent the day before. Gives you two links — one to undo the closure, one to download a copy of your data first. If you meant to close it, you do not have to do anything.
“Your account has been deleted.” Sent once it is done. Nothing further is owed and no more messages are sent about it.

The slow path — lapsing rather than closing — has its own two.

  • An account still on its trial that has never opened a line is warned, about a week ahead, that it will pause — naming the exact date, with nothing deleted and everything kept exactly as it is.
  • Once it's actually deleted, a final email confirms it's done — the same one the fast path gets.
Export first if you want a copy. Take your data export before you close — once the final deletion runs, your configuration is gone for good.
